Blank Scrappin' Card
Hello Hivers,
Have you ever needed a card in a hurry, just to find that none have the sentiment that you need? Well, that happens to me a lot. I decided to make a few cards a leave the sentiment off until I need to use the card. That way I can just stamp happy birthday, with sympathy, or what ever it is that I need it to say. I made this card using, Yes, a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit. I am trying to use up all my old supplies. Have a buzzerific day.
Until next time.....

Blue Tongue
Hello Hivers,
I have been scrappin'. Trying to get caught up. This page was made using a Simply Scrappin' Kit. The same one I made all those birthday cards from about a week ago. The children were showing off their candy cane stained tongues. I love this picture and the people in it. We had a blast that night.

Hello Hivers,
I had to get a little personal today. This is a 6x6 scrapbook page I made using a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit that was available to Hostesses only. This is a picture of my very good and dear friend and my daughter. Aren't they just the cutest? Thanks for buzzing around my hive today.

Peanut Butter Witch
Hello Hivers,
I seen these cute hats on SCS. I just had to make some. I used them for treats at the Halloween party we went to. I used the 3rd largest circle on my Coluzzle and cut it in half. Applied some sticky strip and wrapped it around a Mini Peanut Butter Cup in the shape of a hat. I punched out a scalloped circle and used it as the brim of the hat. I stamped good witch and bad witch on Only Orange card stock and applied to fronts of hat. The sentiment is from the stamp set Humor in High Heels.
Note: The candy was cold so that it would not smash when working with it. Wrap candy with wide end down.
Until next time.....

It's Saturday---Yesssss!
Hello Hivers,
My family and I were invited to a Halloween party tonight. I made this Apron card to give to the Hostess. I plan on putting a simple, yet yummy and ghoulish recipe on the insert. I used Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip card stock along with Ghostly Greetings DSP. I stamped images from Tasty Sweet and Eat, Drink, and be Scary stamp sets in the background. I added some white gel doodle dots. A fun little Going Gray tag was added to the upper pocket with some Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon and a silver brad. I used the Scallop Edge punch and Chocolate Chip ribbon to finish off this project.
P.S. The recipe card was stamped using a retired set. There is a current set that is very similar on page 131 of the catalog. I added a recipe for Easy Ghost Cookies. I found the recipe on Nabisco.com
Until next time.....

Embrace Pink
Hello Hivers,
Here is my fourth and final Breast Cancer Awareness card. Well, maybe not my final. I decided to add Basic Black card stock and no DSP to this card. I think it is a simple, yet lovely and bold looking card. I cased the image from the current SU catalog. The sentiment was punched out using the Word Window punch and layered off center on Basic Black of the same shape. I finished the card with some Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon. All four of my cards are being donated to help encourage and lift the spirits of breast cancer patients and/or survivors.
Until next time.....

Enjoy Pink
Hello Hivers,
This is the third Breast Cancer Awareness card that I made. I really enjoyed making this card (no pun intended). I used several layers of card stock and Georgia Peach DSP. I got out my Scalloped Edge punch and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter for this card (the "O" with the word life has the glitter).I added some Pretty in Pink ribbon and brads along with white gel doodle dots to finish the card off. Oh, by the way the stamp set that I used is called Enjoy Every Moment. I hope I inspire you to create some cards of your own.

Think Pink
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing one of four cards that I made in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness for the month of October. This card is 3x3. I used Georgia Peach DSP, Best Yet and Pocket Silhouettes stamp sets. The sentiment is layered using the Small and Large Oval punches; the flower image is punched out with the 1-3/4 Circle punch. I sponged both images with Pink Pirouette and Apricot Appeal Classic Stampin' Ink. I tied it all together with some Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon.

Quick post this morning. I have a lot on my plate this week. This card was made as a Mother's Day Card. It could be used for anything since the sentiment is so general. I used the A Little Birdie Told Me stamp set and some retired DSP. Everything is SU except for the ribbon.

Scrappin' Birthday
Hello Hivers,
Wow! How many cards can you make from a Simply Scrappin Kit? A Lot.....lol It all depends on what size you make the cards. This card is 3x6 and you can make 4 from one sheet of 12x12 card stock. Everything on this card is from the Kit. The sentiment is from the Bitty Birthday stamp set and I used some Whisper White card stock for layering.

Fairy Tale Birthday
Hello Hivers,
Here is a card I made for a friend. It is for her birthday. I used the stamp set Humor in High Heels for the main image and sentiment. I used my Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge punch to create this cute square medallion. The card stock and DSP I used are retired. I gave the shoes a little bling appeal to fit the receiver's personality and added some double stitched ribbon to finish it off.

Punched out the images with my 1 3/8 circle punch and layered it on Going Gray and Riding Hood Red circles. The base of the card is Basic Gray with a strip of Baja Breeze card stock.

Halloween Birthday
Hello Hivers,
Today's card is one that I really enjoyed making. It is a combination of two special days....Halloween and Birthdays. I used the Haunting Halloween stamp set to create this project. I had to adjust the sentiment to add the word birthday. I also used Chills & Thrills rub-ons at the bottom of the card. Are you tired of the sponged background yet. heehee. How about the clear embossing. I layered my main image on Tangerine Tango card stock and Ghostly Greetings DSP. The base of my card is Creamy Caramel card stock.

Happy Sunday Hivers
Hello Hivers,
Today's card is bright and cheery. I am in love with the sponge technique. I sponged my background and stamped my image. The image and sentiment is from the stamp set Serene Spring. This is a level 2 Hostess set. I had so much fun coloring everything in with my Stampin' Up! markers. I embossed the entire image using a mixture of Clear Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamond Glitter. To embellish this card I used 4 brads and a Mini Library Clip with a small piece of Light Blue Gingham ribbon.

It's Hump Day
Hello Hivers,
I just love this set out of the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is just perfect for Thanksgiving or any fall project. It is called Happy Blessings. I had so much fun making this card. I started out with my card base of Close to Cocoa card stock. I layered Whisper White on Pumpkin Pie card stock that I cut out using my Top Note die. The sentiment is layered using 2 different size circle punches and my Scalloped Circle punch. I finished it with Chocolate Chip ribbon.
A close up of the sentiment.

On my card I used the stamp set House of Haunts. The base of my card is Chocolate chip and the layers are Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, and Whisper White card stock. Saturday Treats
I just love my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper. You can make great looking projects very quickly. I used the Sizzix die-Pillow Box- to create these cute treat boxes for Halloween. The DSP that I used is called Ghostly Greetings. The belly bands use the 2nd side of the DSP and Pumpkin Pie and Kiwi Kiss card stock. I used the paper crimper on the Kiwi Kiss card stock. For the tag I used my Small Tag Punch to punch out the image from Eat, Drink & be Scary that I stamped in Basic Black ink on Summer Sun card stock. I frayed some Whisper White ribbon and placed it under the tag to look like spider webs. I got the frayed ribbon idea from Angie's blog. Thanks Angie for such a great idea.

Little Thank Yous
Hello Hivers,
I would like to share with you a card I received from a friend. I went out of town a couple of weeks ago with my family. We usually all stay together and go places as a family. Well, on this particular trip all the guys went to a football game. My daughter and I went to visit a friend of mine that I rarely get to see when I am in town. I got to spend the entire day with her. We had such a nice time just talking and relaxing. She sent this thank you note to say thanks for spending the day with her. Isn't that sweet? She is such a wonderful person. I love her bunches.

View Master
Hello Hivers,
I tried a new card today. It is a View Master Card. I found all the instructions on SCS under Resources. I made this card for the Administrative Assistant at my children's school. Today is her birthday. It was very easy to put together. The hardest part is lining up the images so they will be evenly spaced. I used Apricot Appeal for my base and Rainbow Sherbet DSP for my front. The inside has a circle of Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White. The sentiment and images are from the stamp set, Crab & Company. This is one of the sets you can purchase at a 20% discount this month. Click here for all the details.

Happy Hump Day
Hello Hivers,
Today's card was inspired by one I seen on Dawn's blog. She does great work. I used her layout and changed the colors and images. I used Really Rust, Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel, Night of Not Quite Navy, and Chocolate Chip card stock. The image and sentiment are both from the Wild About You stamp set. The background flowers are from Eastern Blooms stamp set. I also used some Chocolate Chip ribbon with a bit of Caramel Gingham ribbon. I distressed the main image to make it look more "Wild". I used direct to paper technique on layers and card base. To make the card "POP" I added some doodle dots with my white gel pen.
