Hello Hivers,
This DSP just screams Christmas to me. The punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack was used to replace the brads on Kay's cards. I just added a little dot in the middle with my white gel pen.

Multi-Colored Spots
Hello Hivers,
Here is another design for my 2012 Christmas Cards. I love this DSP. The portion of DSP under the greeting is the reverse side of the spotted DSP. I didn't have matching ribbon for all the colors and I didn't want to waste any of the DSP, so this is what I came up with.

Striped Greetings
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing a card that I CASEd from Kay Kalthoff. She has a video tutorial on her blog on the "how to" of everything about this card. I only made minor changes to my card. The DSP is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Pack in the Holiday catalog. There are 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. I used 10 of the designs to make my 2012 Christmas cards. I embossed the greeting with White Embossing Powder. I used the tree framelit from the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Now the count down is on for Christmas.

Shimmer & Glimmer Boxed Christmas
Hello Hivers,
Here is the box that I made to store the 12 cards and envelopes I shared earlier this week. I used Connie Stewarts custom box making instructions. The design on top of the box comes from Carrie Rhoades. She designed a beautiful Christmas card and I made a few changes to make it work for my box. I used the Champagne Glimmer Paper to add lots of sparkle, in addition to Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed with Rubbing Alcohol. I embossed the image form Ornament Keepsakes with Gold Embossing Powder before running it through the Big Shot with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Die. I also used the Lacey Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder along with a snow flake from the Snow Swirled stamp set to create interest in the background.

A Limeade Christmas
Hello Hivers,
Here is the 3rd and final design being given to my children's teachers. This is also a CASE from K. Baker. The only thing I changed on this card is the addition of the Rhinestone Basic Jewel. The ink and DSP are Lucky Limeade. I used the Festival of Prints DSP Stack from the Holiday Catalog. The sentiment is from Greetings of the Season stamp set, also in the Holiday Catalog.

Cherry Cobbler Greetings
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing cards I made for my children's teachers. They will be getting these two designs plus one more that I will share on Wednesday. It is a box set for them to give out to friends and family. They will be getting 4 of each design with coordinating envelopes. The designs came from a fellow stamper, K Kathy Baker. I changed a few things, but not much. I used Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding but the ink is Raspberry Ripple. The stamp set that I used is Greetings of the Season, found in the Holiday Catalog.

Faux Alligator/Snake Skin
Hello Hivers,
This is a technique that I have used many times. I just love it. I seen this card over on Glenda's blog. I knew I was going to CASE it as soon as I seen it. She has a video tutorial on this technique. I used the Zoo Review stamp set and embossed the image with Early Espresso Embossing Powder. Click here and here to see other samples of this technique in the Hive archives.

Direct to Paper (DTP)
Hello Hivers,
When I stumbled across this technique, I was shocked that I had never tried it before. Yes, I have used DTP on the edges of my cards, but never to create a background like this. If you look close, you can see the "wiggle" movements I made while dragging the ink pad across the paper. I used the 2012-2014 In Colors on these cards. I had fun creating them. I usually on make two of each card. I made three of these and a fourth using the same technique.
Enjoy you day.

Two-Step Stamping
Hello Hivers,
Let me start off by saying that I CASEd the layout of this card from someone. I have been doing a good job at keeping track of who has been inspiring my creativity. I can't remember the creator of this sketch.
I love the way this card turned out. The stamp set is retired but I still love it. When I looked through my inventory of stamps, I noticed that I don't have very many two-step stamp sets. I will have to remedy that problem. LOL

Reverse Masking
Hello Hivers,
I don't know if any of my friends or family members are expecting right now, but I have been on a baby card making spree. The Two by Two stamp set is just so adorable. I like that fact that I can color it with lots of colors. Or just sponge over it with a couple of colors the way I have done here.

Brayered Impressions Folder
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing a couple of cards that I CASEd from Dawn Olchefske. I did, however, change the stamp set that I used. I love this technique with tone on tone. It can also be done with different colors. I used my VersaMarker to make a shadow on the images. I think that is a technique called Ghosting.
Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive.
