Shimmery Stained Glass
Hello Hivers,
All I can say is WOW! I love this technique. I don't like playing with glitter too much, but the results from this technique are awesome. I used Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and a few Sharpie markers. The Paper Doily Sizzlits L die is perfect for this technique. I also tried it out with some retired punches. I am hoping to get a camera stand so that I can make video tutorials for all the techniques I am sharing.

Faux Tearing
The faux tearing technique has got to be one of my favorites. I love making one layer cards that look like multiple layers. I used the Snow Swirled stamp set for this card. I hope you all try some of these techniques. I am having so much fun filling up my technique book.
COLORS: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple, and Bashful Blue

Faux Silk
Hello Hivers,
I used the Nature Walk stamp set to create this beauty. The card stock is Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I actually used two other techniques on this card: Direct to Paper (DTP) and Marker to Stamp. I have separate cards to share with those techniques.
Well, I want to thank you for buzzzing by the Hive today.

Today's technique is called Faux Silk. I loved creating this card. It turned out just as I planned. I mean just as fellow stamper, Tamie Ackerson planned. Of course, this is a CASE. The only major change was adding the faux silk technique to my card.

Inside Christmas
Hello Hivers,
Today I thought I would share the inside of the cards I made for Christmas. The greeting on the inside is from the Delight Dozen stamp set. As Kay mentioned on her blog, these cards are designed to have no waste. The DSP is used in its entirety and the tree on the inside is from the cut out on the front of the card.

Misting/Faux Watercolor
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing another CASEd card. This one comes from Anna Keyes. I found her card over on Stampin' Connection. Actually, I found her video. I thought this card was super cute. I just had to make it. It uses the Reason to Smile stamp set (limited edition). The colors are just so fun and bright.

Scratch-N-Sniff
Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing the scratch-n-sniff technique. I used clear embossing powder mixed with Kool Aid. Now that Stampin' Up! carries scented embossing powder, this technique may not be needed. I just wanted to try it. I must say, I don't like the results. The smell is wonderful, but the Kool Aid smears even after heat embossing.

Here are 2 more designs for my 2012 Christmas cards. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to top the trees. I thought the cards needed a little dazzle.
