Birthday Thank You

Hello Hivers,

Today I am celebrating my 40th birthday.  I am so excited to find out what my family has in store for me today.

Today I am sharing the Thank You card I sent out to everyone that attended my graduation and/or sent me a gift.  I love the colors in this card.  I used Another Thank You, Gorgeous Grunge and the Petite Petals stamp sets.  I couldn't decide on the position of the hexagon punch that has the sentiment on it so...I made a few of each.  The last picture is of the inside of the card.  There, I used a sentiment from the stamp set called From My Heart.

Card Stock:  Coastal Cabana, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla

Accessories:  Petite Petals, Modern Label and Hexagon Punches, Crisp Cantaloupe Stretch Ribbon (retired), Perfect Polka Dots TIEF, and Lullaby DSP

Blessed Birthday

Hello Hivers,

Here is a birthday card I made for a family member.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.  The flowers are from Blessed Easter.  The stamp is retired, however it is available in digital form through My Digital Studio.  Just print it out on card stock cut to size and use as you would a stamped image.  I covered my flower image with a mixture of Clear Embossing Powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.



Card Stock:  Naturals Ivory, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Rich Razzleberry

Can't Stop Smiling!

Just in case you didn't know.... I am a College Graduate.  I am so proud of myself.  This was not easy to accomplish with FOUR children and a husband at home.  It took me a while to finish, but guess what...I did it.  With the Lords help, I made it, with Honors no less.

Tissue Box Holder

Hello Hivers,

This FaBuLoUs tissue box holder was originally made by Crystal Komara.  She shared the instructions over on Stampin' Connection (a website for SU! demos).  I really enjoyed making this project. The box holds  the 4 3/4" x 2 1/4" pack of tissues. 

I used some of my new Park Lane DSP.  I love this paper.  It is super cute.  I also used some of the new In Color card stock, Blackberry Bliss to coordinate with the DSP and the Old Olive card stock.

The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness stamp set.  I used a few punches to decorate and a few pearl embellishments.

Paper Cups

Today I am sharing a project that I seen on YouTube.  These little cups/mugs are so cute.  I just had to make a couple.  The great thing about them is that you can get two mugs from one sheet of 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock, even the two handles.

Card Stock:  Whisper White
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Hello Honey, and Blackberry Bliss
Punches:  Decorative Label and 1/8" Circle
Ribbon:  Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin, Strawberry Slush 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim (retired), and Whisper White Bakers Twine
Stamp Set:  Work of Art
Accessories:  Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks, 4" x 6" Cellophane Bags, Sticky Strip, Paper Snips, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Stamping Sponges, Bone Folder, and Stampin' Trimmer

Baby Blocks

Hello Hivers,

My sister will be a grandmother soon.  She asked me to come up with an unique baby shower invite. This is what I came up with.  I seen the video tutorial, HERE.  You will need a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock to make the card using these instructions.  That is what I did using the green card stock.
 However, I use more 8.5 x 11 card stock.

So I came up with directions on how to make the same card using a slightly smaller sheet of card stock. All the steps are the same as in the video, only the measurements change.
Base: 4 1/8 x 11"

Hinge: 1 x 4 1/8" Score: 1/2"

Score:  4 1/8" side at 1 3/8 & 2 3/4"

Score:  11" side at 1 3/8, 2 3/4, 4 1/8, 5 1/2,
6 7/8, 8 1/4, & 9 5/8"

Message Board: 2 5/8" square

Decoration Layers:  1 1/4" square & 1" square

Bottom Decoration:  1 1/4 x 4"

The orange card is made using the smaller measurements.  As you can see in the above photo, the difference in size is not that much.  They both fit in a regular Stampin' Up! envelope.  The bottom photo shows how I decorated the back.  I used the Whisper White card stock here, so that I would have a space for a message.  I didn't take a photo of the bottom, but I did decorate it with some DSP.

Mini Treat Boxes

Hello Hivers,

I made these cute mini treat boxes that hold two Ferrero Rochers Truffles.  I watched the video tutorial by Linda Parker, HERE.

To the left, is a photo just to show how the boxes open.  The bottom picture is how you can store the boxes until you are ready to use them.

I used two of our current In Colors, Mossy Meadow and Pistachio Pudding.  I stamped both using the Mosaic Madness stamp set.

Yes!! My Graduation Announcements

This is it!  This is what I was trying to achieve.  This is my College Graduation Announcement.  I am so excited.  Just a few more days and I will be walking across the stage to receive my degree.  Okay.  Calming down.  I used the Triple Time technique, only it wasn't triple.

Not My Graduation Announcement

Hello Hivers,

This is the second card that I designed to be my graduation announcement.  I really liked the first one, but it just didn't seem to do it for me.  So I seen this fun fold card over at My Chic'n Scratch and thought, this is it!  But no, it is not.  I used the Moonlight DSP Stack and the new In Color Blackberry Bliss card stock and ink.  I also used Hello Honey ink.  This is cute, right?  I know.  It was just missing that special something.  I had to try again.  I will share the design that I decided on in a few days.
