Here is a quick and fun birthday card.  I used the Polished Stone technique on the background of the main image.  I added some glue using the Fine Tip Glue Pen to all the stars and the light bulb banners.  I also added some to the three balloons.  I used the Confetti Celebration stamp set for all the images and sentiment.

Ferrero Rocher - All Boxed Up

Hello Hivers,

Are you all loving the new In Colors as much as I am?  This Lemon Lime Twist is to die for.
Today I am sharing a little box that holds one Ferrero Rocher chocolate.  I found the tutorial by Heidi S. on Pinterest. She didn't exactly make these boxes with lids together, however, these are all her measurements.  I will share my version of her actual project next Wednesday.

I made two boxes using the Color Theory DSP, Dapper Denim, Whisper White and Lemon Lime Twist card stock.  The bow was made using the Bow Builder Punch.  I couldn't decide if I wanted the tails on or off the bow so I made one with each option.  I added a Glitter Enamel Dot in the middle of the Dapper Denim bow.


Measurements:

Box:  4.75" x 4.75"

Using the Envelope Punch Board
Punch and Score at: 1-3/8" and 3-3/8" on all four sides

Box Lid:  3.25" x 3.25" Score at: 3/8" and 7/8" on all four sides

Color Theory Boxed Set

I have been seeing these "Side Panel Cards" all over Pinterest.  I was inspired by Angelina, a demonstrator in the UK.

I used the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack along with the Colorful Seasons stamp set to create these cards. I even made matching envelopes and a box to put them all in.

Some of the cards have ribbon some have card stock in place of the ribbon.  For a little dazzle, I added the Glitter Enamel Dots and flowers cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.





Measurements:

Black Base: 4" x 11" Score at: 1/2", 2", 4", 5.5"
Berry Burst: 3.75" x 5.25" ( x 2 pieces)
Whisper White (or DSP): 3.5" x 5" ( x 2 pieces)

Berry Burst: 2.75" x 5.5" Score at: 1/2" and 2"
Basic Black: 2.5" x 3.25"
Whisper White (or DSP): 2.25" x 3"

Fancy Fold Birthday

I was cruising along on Pinterest the other day and came across a card I just had to try for myself.  I used the Big on Birthdays and Colorful Seasons stamp sets.  The DSP is from the Eastern Palace Suite.  I added a kickstand to the back of my cards.  I find that it helps, a little, to keep the card standing up.

Instructions:

Base:  4.25" x 11" Score at 2.75" and 5.5"

Color Mats:  5.25" x 4" and 3.25" x 4"

Neutral Mats:  3.25" x 4.75" and 3" x 3.75"

DSP:   2.75" x 4.25" and 0.75" x 3.25"

Optional Kickstand:  2" x 2"  Score at 0.5"

Colors:  Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Island Indigo, Pool Party, and Flirty Flamingo

Diamond Shaped Lidded Box

Hello Hivers,

You all know I love making 3D projects.  I saw this cute little box on Pinterest.  The measurements were in cm so I had to do some recalculations to make it using inches.   My dear sister bought me a big box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate candies for Mother's Day.  I thanked her then laughed.  I knew that I would be making some type of box to put them in.  I used the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper along with Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Dapper Denim card stock.  A few small circle punches and the Eastern Beauty stamp set finished the boxes.  I decided to add a little bit of the Gold Metallic Thread to one of the boxes.  Each box holds just one of the Ferrero Rocher chocolates.


WRITTEN TUTORIAL

BOX LID
3-1/16" x 3-1/16"
Score at:  3/4" on all for sides


DSP
1-3/8" x 1-3/8" (1)
5/8" x 1-3/8" (4)

BOX
 6-7/8" x 3-1/8"
Score short side at:  1-9/16" and 2-3/8"

Turn card stock and Score with the Bigger section at the top at:  1-9/16", 3-1/8", 4.75", and 6-5/16"

Now with the Smaller section at the top Score at:  1-3/8", 2-15/16", 4.5", and 6-1/8"

You will need to add some diagonal score lines as shown below.

When cutting up the bottom flaps, only cut away the score line or less.

Catalog Case

Hello Hivers,

Don't you just love this card!?  I do.  That is why I just had to CASE it.   It can be found on page 85 of the New Annual Catalog.  I changed a few things about my card...the Pink Pirouette scalloped circle and the Soft Sky Swirly Scribbles pieces are two things I changed.  I also changed my card base to Pool Party and just layered the Whisper White piece, with a little sponging, on top.  I just guessed at the color they used.

Banners for You: New 2017-19 In Colors

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing a set of cards I made using the New 2017-2019 In Colors.  I used this chart to help with my color selections.

There are a lot of summer birthdays in my family.  So I decided to use the Banners for You stamp set.  To my surprise, there is not a birthday sentiment in this set.  No worries!  Number of Years stamp set to the rescue.

 After I was finished making the first four cards, I realized that this would make a great anniversary card.  So that is what I did with the Lemon Lime Twist card.

Surprise!

Hello Hivers,

These are a few of the name tags that I made when we went on a family cruise.  We surprised all the children.  We sent them on a scavenger hunt and at the end, we had backpacks full of beach/cruise related items.  These name tags were hanging from each of their bags.  I used the old Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio to help create the wording and a few images.  I found the poem online and just changed a few lines here and there.  I don't know the author's name...the woman just said her granddaughter wrote it.  The children were very surprised and excited.

Bright Wishes & New Catalog
